The talented actor Sharad Kelkar, who won huge critical acclaim for his stupendous performance in his latest Telugu release, Sardar Gabbar Singh alongside superstar Pawan Kalyan, will soon be seen playing yet another powerful character on the big screen.
Sharad, who played pivotal roles in Rocky Handsome and Hero, will be seen portraying the role of Gopinath Munde in a Marathi movie titled Sangharsh Yatra, inspired by the late former Union Minister.
Interestingly, the actor had to go through a physical transformation in terms of sitting for long hours for prosthetics and heavy makeup to resemble the late political leader.
Sharad says, “I have used prosthetics for the first time. It was a tedious process spanning over three hours. I’d be confined to one place. I had to keep my head straight and couldn’t move. It made me drowsy."
"Due to the hot weather, it became even more challenging as my face would start sweating. I would be tempted to take the guise off. Removing that was even more painful as it was glued to my face. Thankfully, after we saw the result, we realised it was worth the effort,” Sharad adds.
