Aamir Khan's painful transformation for Thugs of Hindostan

Aamir Khan who is well known to fall into the skin of his character has undergone some painful measures for his upcoming flick. The actor underwent permanent nose and ear piercing for his role in Thugs of Hindostan.

Aamir is now coming up with an altogether different look as his role in Thugs of Hindustan has demanded a nose piercing and two ear piercing on the right. This is not his full look but glimpses of what he has done physically.

The actor who had earlier gone under an exceptional physical transformation for Dangal has now opted for unique measure for his role. Aamir has left no stone unturned to give justice to his character in Thugs of Hindustan.

The actor is w through some painful sleepless nights since a month as the piercing is high on cartilage.

It's well known that how painful the nose piercing is... it hurts ever time you breathe. In fact, one the reasons people get nose pierced in young age is to avoid the intense pain. Even more painful is the two upper ear piercings, because of it on hard cartilage.

It's been a month since Aamir has pierced it and it's still painful. In fact, he is often heard screaming out in pain when by mistake someone touches it. He can't sleep on his right side at all.

Aamir's nose pierced look has already created a lot of intrigues.

It would definitely be a visual treat for the audiences to witness Aamir in a never seen before avatar.

My toilet film is different than Akshay’s says, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra

Rakeysh Mehra upcoming flick Mere Pyaare Prime Minister is a mother-son saga which highlights sanitation issues.

Projects on the subject of toilets could be a profitable venture was discussed when Akshay Kumar announced his forthcoming film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

Now, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is also set to explore the topic with his next, Mere Pyaare Prime Minister.

Mehra is quick to clear the air when we raise the question of how his film will differ from Akki’s film. “My film is set in a slum, where the issue is more acute. Besides being a hygiene issue, living in those conditions is unsafe. It is a mother-son story which kicks off with a young boy’s letter to the PM requesting that a toilet is made for his mother,” he shares, adding that Anjali Patil is set to play mother to a “spunky young boy” named Om. “This is nothing like Akshay’s film, which is a love story at heart. And even if it is, there is never enough said about subjects like this.” That the subject affects him greatly is evident when Mehra points to the plight of women in the country. “Women’s safety is a prime concern. Rapes are a given when women go out to defecate, as per UNICEF figures. The problem of sanitation in urban areas is bigger than it is in rural areas. Rural India has culturally adapted to defecation outside. In the khet, recycling is easier.”

Mehra, who has taken on the responsibility of a social entrepreneur, along with NGO Yuva Foundation says, “We realised that girls stop coming to school after puberty. Along with Yuva, we decided a change is needed. When we revamped the first municipal school, it took us R5 lakh. The girls started coming back.We got a donation for 20 more schools. Now, we have 1,20,00 volunteers. By 2020, we plan to install 5000 toilets. Ian Botham has come on board as a patron and helped us build toilets in Worli Village. All my movies have been an extension of a piece of my mind, and this one is the same.”

With 'Mere Pyare Prime Minister' Rakeysh is coming up with an altogether different plot focusing mainly on slum life.

Adnan Sami all set to make his acting debut with musical adventure Afghan

Last seen on screen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan as the qawwal in a dargah, Adnan Sami is all set to make his silver screen debut with the romantic musical, Afghan. The singer now turned actor will be playing the role of an Afghan musician displaced from his country who then seeks solace in India and finds love in many forms. Directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao, the films goes on floors in August and is looking at an early 2018 release.

Adnan is looking forward to acting in the film which is very different from shooting music videos. He will be living a character that he can empathize with well owing to his Afghan roots. The character has been inspired from the stories of his forefathers. “We belong to the royal family of King Amanullah and still have palaces in Herat, Afghanistan. My great grandfather conquered Kafirastan and renamed it Nuristan. My grandfather was a provincial governor. After my father’s death, I’m the family patriarch now. I’ve never spoken about that part of my life because I didn’t want my family to open any doors for me but carve a niche on my own. Since I took a path no one had tread, they didn’t know which doors to open anyway,”

He understands fully well the tryst of an artist living in a country torn apart due to large scale radicalism, where music is considered to be haram.

Adnan who composed the music for Lucky- No time for love was waiting to reunite with the director duo. Though he has not been to Afghanistan in a while, he is looking forward to shooting there and across India as the film is based on Indo-Afghan brotherhood.

Adnan himself came to India in 1999 and after a long drawn out battle, the singer was awarded citizenship of India. “Under a Special Clause the Government of India can grant citizenship to someone for exemplary services in the field of art, science and sport. The clause, in existence since 1955, was applied for the first time in my case. And finally, the country I’d accepted as my aashiyana 17 years ago, the India jise mein qabool tha, became my own. It was a spectacular finale,” he said.

The singer became a father to a beautiful girl Medina born on May 10th.  It’s been a month and the baby already has her father wrapped around her finger. “I’ve become an expert in shopping for baby girls, from hats and shoes to frocks and a baby suit that has ‘No dating allowed… ever’ scrawled across as a warning to future suitors, a la Robert De Niro in Meet The Fockers,”, he laughed.

In spite of taking on the acting mantle, his music will not take a backseat “But while I admire jugglers, I can’t multitask. Right now my focus is Afghan. I’m not just acting in it, I also have to compose seven songs for it.”, he signed off.

The production team planned a location-wise breakdown and all the episodes were shot together, unlike the TV and digital space."

All this so that the series may release all at once as is the modern normal and viewers may binge watch at their convenience. There have been no compromises during the creation of Inside Edge and this journey has been nothing short of exciting for me!"

The Inside Edge cast consists of Richa Chadha, Vivek Oberoi, Angad Bedi, Tanuj Virwani, Sidhhant Chaturvedi, Sanjay SuriSarah, Jane Dias and Sayoni Gupta.
