Amy Jackson to make her mark in music

After winning hearts with her acting skills, Amy Jackson is all set to leave her mark in the music industry. Following the path of Priyanka Chopra (In My City), Sonam Kapoor (Dheere Dheere and Coldplay’s Hymn For The Weekend), the British model-turned-actress will be shooting for her first music video.

The talented actress will be accompanied by composer duo rapper-singer Raftaar and UK-based singer-song writer Manj Musik in the Punjabi-English-Hindi music video.

A source informs, “When Manj heard Amy humming a hook line, he asked her to record a scratch version. He liked it so much that they decided to collaborate and come up with a Punjabi, Hindi and English track. Interestingly, all three of them including Raftaar, Manj and Amy will act dance and sing for the video.”

Amy says, “When I was 17, my sister and I used to drive back from school in her car and sing the Spice Girls’ chartbusters from the ‘90s at the top of our voices.”

Amy, who is currently busy shooting the Rajinikanth starrer Robot 2 and later Sohail Khan’s untitled next with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, informs, “I wanted to do a music video that has a hip-hop vibe, like a cool Rihanna song with Drake rapping. That’s the kind of music I enjoy listening to between shots or when I am travelling. My favourite genre music is house, and I love listening to Lana Del Rey and Maroon 5.
