Mr Funny Bones, Vir Das who is in high spirit, riding on his second US Comedy Tour, will be seen in a serious character in an upcoming film 31st October, a biopic.
We were told that the actor who is in US currently had the chance to meet some real life victims of the 31st October riots. One boy who had come to Vir's show met him and informed him how he is related to a family who are riot victims. This kind of intrigued Vir to meet the family. He took time out from his tight schedule to pay a visit to the family. He had a warm conversation with them and felt glad he got a chance to meet the family. They too asked Vir about his experience on working on the film. It'll be interesting to see how Vir pulls out the tough character on silver screen.
When contacted Vir he said, "While in Vancouver for a show I was approached by a guy who came to to me talking about my upcoming film '31st October', he told me about his grand father who has witnessed the incident of 31st October back in 1984 and wanted me to meet them."
Vir went on to add, "I was apprehensive at first because I understand it would be difficult time for them back then and recalling the scenario would be more tough however after meeting them I was elated that they have overcome the obstacle and they were glad to know that a film is being made on the incidence. It's beyond our understanding what these people would've gone through."
For the records, '31st October' is an edge-of-the-seat thriller based on the aftermath of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination. Written and produced by Harry Sachdeva under the banner Magical Dreams Productions Pvt Ltd, the film also stars Soha Ali Khan opposite Vir Das.
