India's first ever Zero waste fashion store launched

Super achiever Director-cum-Choreographer Farah Khan was all praise for the newest fashion eco-warriors in the industry ‘Bhumika & Jyoti’, when she recently attended the launch of India 1st Zero waste Fashion store in the high streets of Juhu, Mumbai.

Incidentally Farah, who is looking very svelte these days in her new avatar, is a good friend of TV actress-cum designer, Jyoti Mukerji and her partner Bhumika, who were initially into kid’s couture and designed the clothes for Farah Khan triplets for all their special occasions.  She was very supportive of their new concept in Upcycling-The new trend for Eco-Fashion!

“I personally know Jyoti Mukerji from a long time. She is a very talented designer. Earlier she used to design kids couture, and all the outfits for my children birthdays. I am very happy that she and her partner Bhumika have ventured into designer clothes for adults too and their fashionably green concept. Their clothes are so well priced and styled. I will be coming here often” said Farah.

When asked about her style statement, she continued “Fashion should reflect personality.  Though one should be in tune with fashion and trend, one should also have a sense of occasion, besides what will suit their age too”

An ecstatic Jyoti and her partner Bhumika were very thankful for the support from Farah Khan, especially since it came from a successful woman, who has reached the pinnacle of success through her hard work and efforts.

They added “Upcycling-is the new trend for Eco-fashion. The real issue is NOT about how one defines ethical fashion, but how one practices ethical fashion. Green fashion will make the leap from niche market to mainstream soon, since its having an effect on high-end designers internationally. Our objectives are to raise ecological consciousness, to encourage and promote through fashion. Our ecouterre concept is devoted to the future of green, sustainable, and ethical fashion design, beyond seasonal fads.  Our sustainable fashion philosophy is much more a conviction and a commitment rather than just a fashion trend!”
