·         The noted directors come together for India in a Day directed by Richie Mehta
·         First ever large scale collaborative film in the country
·         Directed by Richie Mehta and executive produced by Ridley Scott and Anurag Kashyap
·         Partnership with Google enabled submission of over 16,000 video stories from Indians across the country

Keeping aside their personal commitments, noted directors Anurag Kashyap (also the Executive Producer on the film), Zoya Akhtar, ShekarKapur and R.Balki united to cheer on India to submit their video stories to Google and Scott Free Films for the country’s largest crowdsourced film, INDIA IN A DAY directed by Richie Mehta.

The film will release on September 23, 2016 in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Having premiered at the coveted Toronto International Film Festival, this 90-minute film features heartfelt, joyous and deeply personal stories from numerous participants from across the country, documenting the day of October 10, 2015.

The outreach supported by Google saw thousands of Indians submitting more than 16,000 videos, containing over 365 hours of moments. The footage submitted by participants was uploaded on a website set up by Google.

This marks a first in the country and industry, with filmmakers uniting to engage a larger community to document a day in the life of the country. Don’t miss the film in a theatre near you.
