Kajal is a 20-minute short film starring Salony Luthra and directed by Pakhi Tyrewala. The short film explores a woman's journey of awakening and how she fights bullying at home and at work.
“Kajal is an extremely relevant film at a time when we are increasingly speaking out against injustice meted out to women. It has shades of what most women face either at home or at work or both. When Paakhi narrated the script to me, I felt it was a story that must be done. It’s an ode to women and no better day than International Women’s Day to release the poster,” said Salony Luthra.
Debutant director Paakhi Tyrewala adds, “Kajal evokes strong questions about certain situations we accept in life, and how it's important to address them for our empowerment.”
The director and lead both want to do the festival circuit before they release the film.
