Milind Gunaji turns grey for Shatika – The Undraped, supporting women empowerment

Having portrayed memorable roles in his prolific film career, veteran actor Milind Gunaji is set to surprise the audience and his fans once again with his next offering, Shatika - The Undraped, a short film directed by young debutante Sritama Dutta.

Produced by Aditya Bhardwaj and Publicist turned Executive Producer Vedant Mishra, of Y-Star Cine & Television Pvt Ltd, Shatika – The Undraped also features Susmita Mukherjee, Harry Josh and  Swagata Naik.

Interestingly, Milind Gunaji who is known to have played several menacing characters on screen with great aplomb, will be seen playing a grey character again in the film.

A source says, "Director Sritama Dutta met Milind Gunaji on the sets of Kamasutra, where she was the Associate Director. In one of her conversations with Milind  Gunaji, Sritama had mentioned about Shatika’s story and she wanting to direct a short with him. Milind, being amazed and impressed with Sritama’s skills and talent on the sets of Kamasutra, assured her that he will be a part of her next independant project whenever it would commence.  Years later when he was approached by Sritama, he immediately agreed to take up the project and  kept his word not only for Sritama but also because he whole heartedly supports women empowerment and so leaves no stone unturned to spread awareness for the same.

Praising Milind, Sritama Dutta says, "On the sets of Kamasutra, when i mentioned about the subject of my short to Milind ji, he showed the enthusiasm and yearning to contribute to the society through any medium possible and this encouraged me to have him on board for my short. Milind ji is apt for the character he is playing in the film and we are pleased to have such a talented actor playing a pivotal role in Shatika."

Milind says, "Shatika is an eye-opener for the society as it not just entertains but also helps spreading awareness regarding issues related to women empowerment and HIV. It was an absolute honour working with the talented Sritama Dutta and being a part of her project."
