Jackky Bhagnani’s next movie Mitron is all set to release September 14 and the first look of the movie has already created a lot excitement in the minds of audience. The trailer of the movie will be coming out on August 14, 2018 at 11 AM. The announcement was made via a video that was posted by Jackky Bhagnani on his Twitter and Instagram.

In a yet another quirky video, the team of Mitron is seen chilling out deciding on what time they should be releasing the trailer and suddenly they hear the voice of none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking them to release the trailer on August 14 at 11:00 AM. The cast obliging in to the request and announce the trailer will be indeed coming at that time.

Mitron is Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Abundantia Entertainment.

Rani Mukerji Wins the Best Actress Award for Hichki

Rani Mukerji won hearts everywhere with her outstanding performance in Yash Raj Films’ superhit film Hichki. As Naina Mathur, a passionate teacher who deals with Tourette Syndrome, Rani delivered a powerful performance, also communicating a key message about equal treatment for people with physical challenges in India. Her character inspires positive change in school students from economically backward origins, a story that resonated globally for Hichki to become a massive hit and now Indian Film Festival of Melbourne has awarded Rani with the Best Actress Award for the year.

Hugely popular with sizeable Indian diaspora living in Melbourne, Rani expressed her gratitude saying, “Indian Film Festival of Melbourne has always welcomed the best of Indian cinema and celebrated our form of storytelling. The theme of the IFFM 2018 festival was ‘Inclusion’. Rani Mukerji is the only mainstream actress who has successfully and sensitively embraced such subjects through her exceptional films Black and Hichki so Rani was also chosen unanimously to win the ‘Excellence in Cinema’ award at the ceremony.

IFFM had an eminent panel of jury (Andrew Anastasios, Jill Bilcock, Geoffrey Wright, Nikkhil Advani, Rajeev Masand, Simi Garewal, Sue Maslin) who unanimously decided upon Rani Mukerji’s win as the Best Actress.

Kartik Aaryan is in Gwalior shooting for Dinesh Vijan’s next Luka Chuppi. Gwalior being his hometown, he’s having a ball of time shooting for the project. Last week when he began shooting for the film, he was welcomed whole-heartedly by the people of Gwalior and it was almost like a celebration in the city. Kartik Aaryan who plays a local TV reporter, has a 50 days schedule in the city and he’s really happy to be a part of it. Manoj Bajpayee wins Best Actor Award at Melbourne for Gali Guleiyan

Two times National Award winning actor, Manoj Bajpayee's Hindi psychological drama, Gali Guleiyan (In the Shadows) continued its winning ways at the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, last night.
The film won accolades in two out the four categories that it was nominated in (Best Actor: Manoj Bajpayee, Best Director: Dipesh Jain, Best Supporting Actor: Ranvir Shorey, Best Indie Film).

Manoj Bajpayee won the Best Actor award for his heart wrenching portrayal of a man trapped within the walls and alleys of Old Delhi and his own mind, who attempts to break free to find a human connection. The nominees in this category included- Akshay Kumar (Padman), Ranbir Kapoor (Sanju), Ranveer Singh & Shahid Kapoor (Padmavat), Varun Dhawan (October), among others.

*Gali Guleiyan also earned a Special Jury Mention in the Best Indie Film category.*

A visibly happy Manoj said...  "It is a fantastic feeling to win the award for the best actor at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Set to release in theatres worldwide on 7th September, Gali Guleiyan, is a Hindi psychological drama about a man trapped within the walls and alleys of Old Delhi and his own mind, who attempts to break free to find a human connection. The main protagonist is played by the extremely talented Manoj Bajpayee ably supported by an ensemble cast of actors par excellence - Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi and Shahana Goswami along with debutant child actor Om Singh. Pakhi postponed

Under the banner of Chilsag pictures the social crime drama “Pakhi” unfolding the miseries of the web of child trafficking got stuck for censor certificate. Pakhi is a social crime drama movie which had made headlines in the media in the recent days and was nationally promoted but got stuck in for the censor certification. Earlier it was scheduled to be released on 10th August 2018 but now will be postponed.

Pakhi is written by writer-director Sachin Gupta. Sumeet Kaul, Anamika Shukla, Pihu, Shikandar Khan and Anmol Goswami are in the leads. The music is embraced by Shivang Mathur and lyrics by Shayra Apoorva. Navin Kumar is the cinematographer and Ajay Shivan is the editor and choreographer of the film. The background score is given by Nikkhil Koparde.

This afternoon, Alia Bhatt shared a crazy matrimonial video starring Jackky Bhagnani. The video happens to be the first glimpse of his upcoming film "Mitron", directed by National award-winning director, Nitin Kakkar.

Sharing the first look of the film on her social media account, Alia said: "I came across a crazy matrimonial video. Simply loved it...! #MitronMania begins on 14th August."

Shonali Bose to write and direct film based on an inspiring true story

The much awaited untitled film starring Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in the lead roles begins its first schedule in Mumbai today.

The film, based on an incredibly moving true life story, is to be helmed by National Award winning filmmaker Shonali Bose and will be filmed across Mumbai, Delhi, London and the Andamans. The dialogues are by National Award winning writer Juhi Chaturvedi and the music will be scored by Pritam.

Shonali Bose shares,* “This is a film that is extremely close to my heart and I am glad to have such a stellar team on board. This is a dream star cast and I have found the best, most supportive producers in Ronnie and Sid. I am looking forward to a great journey ahead and hoping to give our audiences a truly memorable cinematic experience.”

For Ronnie and Sid, this is their sixth time working with Priyanka Chopra after collaborating on landmark films including Fashion, Kaminey, and Barfi.

Siddharth Roy Kapur said, “It is exciting to begin Roy Kapur Films’ first production with a story as special as this one, and to collaborate on it with RSVP and Ronnie, who has been a mentor to me throughout my career. For the first time ever, the logo of a Bollywood film has been made by artisans! The marketing team of Sui Dhaaga – Made in India wanted to celebrate the rich and diverse culture of making Indian handicraft. So the team reached out to local artisans and craftsmen from across the length and breadth of the country to create the logo of the film in their unique stitching styles.

“To position our film Sui Dhaaga – Made in India, we realised that it was just not enough to act like a film marketeer. In fact we had to look at ourselves as a team marketing the art and handicraft culture of our country. With this embodiment of our strategy we needed an idea that would be the fulcrum of our entire campaign. And what could be a better idea than inviting the artisans of our country to design the logo of our film. We reached out to 15 uniquely skilled artists/artist groups across the lengths and breadths of our nation who helped us design our film logo. It has been an exhaustive and most rewarding experience for all of us at YRF. It has taken six months to plan, research and execute our logo in 15 different styles that celebrates our country’s diversity and entrepreneur spirit.” says Manan Mehta, VP – Marketing and Merchandising, YRF.

The Sui Dhaaga logo has been done in a striking, globally popular Indian hand needlework forms of Kashida and Sozni from Kashmir, colourful Phulkari from Punjab, the intricate thread work forms Rabari and Mochi Bharat from Gujarat, Phool Patti from Uttar Pradesh and Zardozi work from Lucknow. It has also be created in Rajasthan's prominent crafts like Aari, Banjara and Gota Patti, Tamil Nadu's popular Toda style and Karnataka's Kasuti design. Traveling towards the east, which constitutes of over 50 percent of the India's handloom exports, the film's logo has been made in Pipli style from Odisha, Handloom work from Assam, Kantha stitch work from West Bengal.

By creating a logo in as many as 15 different needle art forms from India, Sui Dhaaga hopes to create awareness of India’s culture amongst today’s youth and the impact that it leaves on modern design, fabrics and fashion at large. Interestingly, YRF also chose to release to the logo on National Handloom Day that celebrates the magnificence of Indian handloom the world over.

A film about finding love and respect through self-reliance, Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga - Made in India is a heart-warming story that celebrates the spirit of self-reliance. The film’s plot is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy and takes a leaf out of the hugely acclaimed Make In India campaign. While Varun plays the role of a tailor, Anushka plays an embroiderer in the film.

Both champion actors, Varun and Anushka have been paired for the first time and are definitely the most-awaited on-screen jodis of 2018.
