For Phobia Virtual Reality technology been used

Eros International and Viki Rajani’s Phobia starring Radhika Apte and directed by Pavan Kirpalani has number of firsts to its credit.

Besides the movie being one-of-a-kind psychological thriller, it’s learnt that the makers have incorporated ‘Virtual Reality’ technology, a first for a Bollywood film.

For those not aware, Virtual Reality is a computer technology that replicates an environment, real or imagined, and simulates a user’s physical presence and environment in a way that allows the user to interact with it. Virtual realities artificially create sensory experience, which can include sight, touch, hearing and smell for the user.

Since Radhika’s character suffers from Agoraphobia in the spine-chilling psychological thriller, the makers thought to feature the technology in the movie as a virtual environment enable patients to overcome panic disorders and other forms of anxiety.

Radhika took some time to get used to using the device since she had experienced something like this for the first time.
