Vibrant colours take form as her effortless magical strokes on the canvas emerge into vividly colourful signature paintings. Artist-muralist Rouble Nagi takes her art to the next level with her most interesting works being immortalised as limited edition scarves.
With Amruta Fadnavis as her muse for the collection, Rouble feels that Amruta was the only choice as she is the perfect face of the quintessential Indian woman, juggling effortlessly between career and home, as able homemaker, adoring wife, loving daughter-in-law and a professional career as a banker at the same time. “She is an inspiration, and the perfect woman to represent the signature collection, that is my tribute to womanhood.”
The idea was also to take art to the next level. ”A lot of people cannot have my personal paintings. I felt that with the scarf collection that can be worn as well as framed and put up on the walls as it is a signature collection with the title, year and the medium mentioned on it, and is more personal. While paintings adorn your walls, scarves travel with you.” More than anything else, it is like when you own a limited edition scarf, you are actually educating a child at the same time.
Besides celebrating women, the proceeds from the current 500-limited edition scarf range will go for children's education and women empowerment programmes, through the proceeds from the art shows in Mumbai, Dubai, London and Hyderabad among others.
Next in line is a men socket square collection. But at the moment, it is simply scarves!
