After showcasing the intriguing trailer of the relationship drama, Onir’s Shab has amassed excitement amongst cine-goers, with music being the USP of the film.
Directed by the National award winning filmmaker Onir, whose films have always had brilliant music that move the narrative of the story forward, the relationship drama has already created a buzz in the music world with popular songs including ‘O Saathi’ and ‘Musafir’, loved by music buffs.
Talking about the song, composer Mithoon said, "It was Mohit Suri who introduced me to this word 'Awaari'. I share a great rapport with him and we both enjoy working on thoughts, words and phonetics. He has used it in his film Ek Villain too. It’s not part of organised Hindi or Urdu, it's just an expression which I have used to symbolise the fight and rebellion in one's spirit. When I played the song to Onir I told him we will change the word but he insisted that he doesn't want to change it. So it was only apt that he releases the song."
Filmmaker Mohit Suri who shares a great rapport with composer Mithoon recently took to the micro-blogging site to appreciate the composer’s recent musical creation, Aawari from the relationship drama. Mohit tweeted "It's just the world and vibe you create buddy !! You always inspire me".
The lyrics are penned down by Amitabh S. Verma and Mithoon. The music video features two talented newcomers, Ashish Bisht and Arpita Chatterjee, alongside Mithoon. The track is filmed in aesthetic sensual setting that is pivotal to the reel relationship between the two actors.
With soulful songs, Shab is touted as the most promising music album of the year.
