Having played consequential roles in memorable films including Tere Bin Laden, Khubsoorat and the Aamir Khan-starrer blockbuster Dangal, Badrul Islam will be seen in Y-Star Cine & Television Pvt Ltd's forthcoming short film, Rang Biranga Anar, Directed by Rohit Chauhan, produced by Aditya Bhardwaj, co-produced by Ajay Magan and executive producer Vedant Mishra.
Rang Biranga Anar is an emotional drama that talks about the struggle of a family in financial mess. A six year old boy has lost his father and still hopeful that in spite of difficult situation his mother and uncle are struggling hard to make ends meet. The child still believes that he will be able to celebrate Diwali and Rang Biranga Anar depicts the journey of the young child who sets out to find happiness in the sour situation.
Badrul will be seen playing the role of the uncle of the boy. Producer Aditya and his team wishes to take the short across several national and international film festivals and markets including Dubai International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Canadian Film Festival, MAMI, MIFF and many more, hoping to make a mark in both the circuits, post which they will plan a release in Mumbai followed by Dubai.
