छबिलदास शाळेतील १९६८ बॅचच्या सुवर्णमहोत्सवानिमित्त ‘स्वरमुग्धा आर्ट्स’ व ‘भारतीय जीवन विमा निगम’ प्रस्तुत ‘तुम्हे याद करते करते’

दादर म्हणजे कला, क्रीडा, संस्कृती आणि शिक्षणाचा वारसा जपणारे मुंबईचे मध्यवर्ती केंद्र! याच दादरमध्ये गोपाळ नारायण अक्षीकरांसारख्या तडफदार तरुणाने २ जून १८८९ रोजी एका शैक्षणिक संस्थेची स्थापना केली. ती संस्था म्हणजे छबिलदास शाळा. लोकमान्य टिळकांना गुरू मानणाऱ्या अक्षीकरांनी लावलेल्या रोपट्याचा आज वटवृक्ष झालाय! स्वतः संस्थापक असून निःस्वार्थीपणे अक्षीकरांनी ‘जनरल एज्युकेशन इन्स्टिट्यूट (GEI) नावाचा ट्रस्ट स्थापन केला. आज GEI च्या छत्राखाली २०००० विद्यार्थी शिक्षण घेत असून ५५० शिक्षक व १५० शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी कार्यरत आहेत.

या शाळेने समाजाला अनेक कर्तृत्ववान व्यक्ती बहाल केल्या, त्याही विविध क्षेत्रातील! अजित वाडेकर, डॉ. नरेंद्र जाधव, रामदास पाध्ये, दिलीप प्रभावळकर, चंद्रकांत लिमये, बाळ धुरी, विकास सबनीस, विजय गोखले, किशोर रांगणेकर, अजिंक्य रहाणे इ. नामवंत व्यक्तींचा आम्हाला अभिमान वाटतो.

अशा अनेक माजी विद्यार्थ्यांपैकी १९६८ साली ११ वी उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या त्यांच्या बॅचचा सुवर्णमहोत्सव साजरा करण्याचे ठरवले आहे. या बॅचमधील ‘अ’ वर्गात शिकलेले कृष्णकुमार गावंड, श्रीकांत कुलकर्णी आणि स्व. वसंत खेर यांनी मनोरंजन क्षेत्रात प्रचंड योगदान दिले आहे(ऑर्केस्ट्रा, ऑडिओ व्हिडिओ माध्यम) १९७६ साली या त्रयीने ‘सिंफनी’ नावाची संस्था स्थापन करून ‘याद ए. शंकर जयकिशन’ कार्यक्रमाची निर्मिती केली. शुभारंभाच्या प्रयोगाला खुद्द शंकर (जयकिशन) यांनी जातीने हजर राहून आशीर्वाद दिले. त्यानंतर याच संस्थेने ‘झपाटा’ नावाचा कार्यक्रम करून हिंदी मनोरंजन क्षेत्रात क्रांति केली. ‘मंगलगाणी दंगलगाणी’ या ‘सिंफनी’च्या कार्यक्रमाने मराठी वाद्यवृंदाला एक वेगळी दिशा दिली.

सध्या प्रा. कृष्णकुमार गावंड, संगीतकार शंकर जयकिशन यांच्या कारकीर्दीचा आढावा घेणारा एकपात्री दृव्‌श्राव्य कार्यक्रम ‘तुम्हे याद करते करते’ सादर करतात. या कार्यक्रमास भारतभर छान प्रतिसाद मिळत आहे. हाच कार्यक्रम १९६८ बॅचच्या सुवर्ण महोत्सवानिमित्त २२ ऑगस्ट रोजी रात्रौ ८ वाजता दादरच्या शिवाजी मंदिरात सादर होणार आहे. या कार्यक्रमातून शाळेसाठी निधी उभारण्याचा हेतू असून कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन ‘स्वरमुग्धा आर्ट्स’ व ‘भारतीय जीवन विमा निगम’ यांनी केली आहे.

अशा या कार्यक्रमाच्या निमित्ताने सर्व माजी विद्यार्थी एकत्र येतील आणि याचवेळी शाळेसाठी निधीही गोळा करता येईल असा आमचा विश्वास आहे. अश्या सोहळ्यास सर्व हितचिंतकांनीही उपस्थित राहून कार्यक्रमाची शोभा वाढवावी. तसेच आपणही आपापल्या परीने आर्थिक साहाय्य करून शाळेच्या विकासाला हातभार लावावा ही विनंती.

*अटल है ध्यास अटल है विश्वास*भारतीय जनता पार्टी चे सर्वोच्च नेतृत्व श्रधेय स्वर्गीय अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी यांचा जन्म 25 डिसेंबर 1925 ला ग्वाल्हेर मध्य प्रदेश राज्यात जाला वयाच्या 15 व्या वर्षा पासून अटलजी चा राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ च्या कार्याशी जवळ चा संबंध आला संघ स्वयंसेवक ते संघ प्रचारक अश्या विविध महत्वपूर्ण जबाबदाऱ्या त्या यशस्वी रित्या पार पाडल्या  लखनऊ  विद्यापीठा तुन  एम ए चे शिक्षण  ज़ालेले अटलजी ना राजशास्रात पीएचडी करावयाची होती परंतु संघ विचाराने प्रेरित होऊन संघ कार्यात त्यांनी स्वताला वाहून घेतले
देशाच्या राजकारणात जवळपास ६० वर्ष अविरत उत्साहाने आणि अतिशय सभ्यतेने वावरणा-या राजकारण्यांमध्ये अटलजींचे नाव आदराने घेतले जाते. एक हिंदी कवी म्हणून जीवनाची  सुरुवात करणारे अटलजी, हे शामाप्रसाद मुखर्जी यांच्या सहवासात आले. त्यांचे सचिव बनले आणि अटलजींच्या नेतृत्वाला परिसस्पर्श झाला. १९५७ मध्ये बलरामपूर लोकसभा मतदारसंघातून लोकसभेत पहिल्यांदा पाऊल ठेवणारे वाजपेयी, बलरामपूरला निवडणूक लढवायला जाताना कोणतेही रिझव्‍‌र्हेशन नसलेल्या तिस-या वर्गाच्या डब्यात, जिथे सामान ठेवतात त्या वरच्या बाकावर झोपून बलरामपूरला पोहोचले होते. त्यांच्या लालित्यपूर्ण लिखाणात (अपनी अपनी बात) त्यांनी त्या प्रवासाचे अतिशय सुंदर वर्णन केलेले आहे. संसदेमध्ये पहिल्यांदा दाखल झाल्यानंतर तरुणपणातल्या त्यांच्या अमोघ वाणीने त्यांनी विरोधी पक्षाच्या बाकाला आणि विषयांना प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त करून दिली. विरोधी पक्षाच्या बाकावर बसलेल्या सदस्याला, सत्ताधारी पक्षाच्या बाकावरचे सदस्य किती सन्मानाने वागवतात आणि त्याचा कसा आदर करतात, याचे उदाहरण वाजपेयीच आहेत. त्यावेळचे सर्वोच्च लोकप्रिय पंतप्रधान पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू हेही वाजपेयी यांच्या अत्यंत मुद्देसूद, अभ्यासपूर्ण भाषणाने प्रभावीत होत असत आणि याच पंडितजींनी तेवढय़ाच मोकळेपणाने १९५८ सालातच सांगून टाकले होते की, ‘प्रधानमंत्री पद के लिए अटलजी का एक दिन पक्का..’ पंडितजींचे ते शब्द २८ वर्र्षानी खरे ठरले.सन १९५७ पासून ५० वर्षा पेक्षा जास्त वर्ष कार्य करणारे एकमेव खासदार आहेत आणीबाणी  मध्ये 19 महिने कारवास भोगले नंतर 1977 मध्ये देशा चे परराष्ट्र मंत्री जाले  पुढे आरएसएस च्या विचार घेऊन भारतीय जनसंघ ची भारतीय जनता पार्टी 6 एप्रिल 1980 ला बनली मुंबई येथे स्थापन ज़ालेल्या भाजपा चे प्रथम अध्यक्ष होण्याचा गौरव अटलजी  प्राप्त जाला 1980 ते1996 या 16 वर्षा च्या काळात अटलजी नी भाजपा चे विस्तारा साठी संपूर्ण हिन्दुस्थान भर प्रवास केला १९९६च्या लोकसभेत १६२ जागा मिळवणा-या भारतीय जनता पक्षाला सगळ्यात मोठा पक्ष म्हणून मान्यता मिळाली आणि अवघ्या १३ दिवसांकरिता वाजपेयी पंतप्रधान झाले. लोकसभागृहात पुरेसे बहुमत मिळवता आले नाही म्हणून मतदान होण्यापूर्वीच त्यांनी राष्ट्रपतींकडे जाऊन राजीनामा सादर केला. पुन्हा 1998 साली  व1999 साली अटलजी तिसऱ्यादा देशा चे पंतप्रधान जाले या 6 वर्षा चे पंतप्रधान पदा चे काळात 1998 साली पोखरण राजस्थान येथे अणुस्फोट करून त्यांनी देशाला विश्वात शक्तिशाली महासत्ता म्हणून सादर केले
पंतप्रधान होण्यापूर्वी जनसंघाचे संस्थापक सदस्य, खासदार (१९५७, १९६२), जनसंघाचे अध्यक्ष (१९६८ ते १९७३), लोकसभेतल्या जनसंघ गटाचे नेते (१९५७ ते १९७७), जनता पक्षाच्या सरकारात परराष्ट्रमंत्री (१९७७ ते १९७९), भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे अध्यक्ष (१९८० ते १९८६), भारतीय जनता पक्ष संसदीय दलाचे नेते (१९८० ते १९९६),  भारताचे पंतप्रधान,  (१९९६ आणि १९९८ ते २००४) अशी त्यांची प्रदीर्घ संसदीय कारकीर्द आहे. या कारकिर्दीप्रमाणेच सामान्य माणसाला वाजपेयी माहिती आहेत ते एक अमोघ वक्ते आणि सभा गाजवणारे नेते म्हणून. जुन्या जनसंघाने आणि नंतर भाजपाने ‘प्रधानमंत्री की अगली बारी-अटलबिहारी’ अशा अनेक वेळा घोषणा दिल्या होत्या. त्या घोषणा वाजपेयी यांच्या नेतृत्वामुळेच वास्तवात उतरू शकल्या. ते पंतप्रधान झाल्यानंतरही त्यांचा चेहरा कधी ‘कट्टर’ वाटला नाही पण हिंदु धर्म , संस्कृति , परंपरा आणि इतिहास या बाबत ते संवेदनाक्षम होते या सर्व गोष्टी बाबत त्यांना प्रचंड अभिमान गर्व होता  आणि त्यांची सर्व जाती-धर्माना बरोबर घेऊन जाण्याची सर्वव्यापक भूमिका कधीही लपून राहिली नाही.  राजकीय हिंसाचाराला वाजपेयींचा जसा विरोध होता तसाच जाती-धर्माच्या नावावर राजकारणात टोकाचे मतभेद करण्यालाही त्यांचा विरोध होता. बाबरी मशीद पाडली गेली तेव्हा त्या सगळ्या उन्मादात वाजपेयी कुठेही सामील झालेले नव्हते आणि ‘जे झाले ते योग्य झालेले नाही’, असे त्यांचे प्रांजळ मत त्यांनी अगदी स्पष्टपणे नोंदवलेले होते. ते काँग्रेसचे विरोधक होते; पण, देशाच्या उभारणीत काँग्रेसचा जो प्रचंड त्याग आहे, त्याबद्दल नेहमीच ते आदराने बोलत असत. विरोधी बाकावर असतानाही पंडितजींच्या परराष्ट्र धोरणाची स्तुती करताना त्यांना कधी संकोच वाटला नाही आणि स्वत: परराष्ट्रमंत्री झाल्यावरही पंडितजींबद्दल गौरवाचे उद्गार काढताना त्यांनी कधी हात आखडता घेतला नाही

वाजपेयींचे भाषण जेवढे मोहून टाकणारे असायचे, अगदी तेवढेच त्यांचे ललित लेखनही प्रासादिक आहे. काही काळ ते पत्रकारही होते. ‘पांचजन्य’ या साप्ताहिकात ते लेखन करीत असत. त्यांचा आणखी एक गुणविशेष म्हणजे व्यवसायाने राजकारणी असताना मनाने ते कवी होते आणि त्यामुळेच त्यांच्या अनेक कवितांमधून त्यांच्या रसपूर्ण अशा साहित्याचा परिचय भारतीय रसिक वाचकांना झालेला आहे. त्यांचे कवितासंग्रहही प्रसिद्ध झाले आहेत. त्यांच्या कवितांच्या काव्य गायनाचे कार्यक्रमही रंगू लागले. पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू आणि त्यांची मने जुळली. याचे आणखी एक कारण म्हणजे राजकारणात राहूनही या दोघांची मने कवींची होती, हळूवार होती, संवेदनाक्षम होती. त्यामुळे लोकसभेत आक्रमक होणा-या या दोन्ही नेत्यांनी आपल्या हळूवार भावनांचे प्रदर्शन साहित्यामध्ये अतिशय लालित्यपूर्ण रितीने केलेले आहे.

Late Mr. Yash Chopra Directs Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Music VideoMr. Late.Yash Chopra got a rare distinction of directing the Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for a music video 'Kya Khoya Kya Paaya'. 'Samvedna', a music album released by Saregama, is a collection of poems written by Mr. Vajpayee, which is composed and sung by ghazal exponent Jagjit Singh. There is a preface to the album by Amitabh Bachchan, which is written by Javed Akhtar. 

The music video directed by Yash Chopra was shot in 2 days and also featured Shah Rukh Khan, who personified the poet's thoughts.

The Prime Minister received the first copy of the album after sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar released it on 10 February 2002 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi. The album is interspersed with his narrative, explaining his feelings behind each poem that were written during the Emergency.

On his debut as an actor, the PM said: "Yash Chopra suddenly came into my room and said that he would like to direct me to which I replied 'I am ready to place myself in your hands and will do whatever you direct'. I have always been an admirer of his work".

T-SERIES & ELLIPSIS ENTERTAINMENT CONFIRM TAHIRA KASHYAP KHURRANA TO DIRECT

Continuing the trend of identifying and launching promising directors, T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Ellipsis Entertainment (Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar) have confirmed Tahira Kashyap Khurrana to take the helm of their third collaboration.

Ellipsis Entertainment had earlier introduced renowned ad filmmaker Ram Madhvani to direct “Neerja”. T-Series and Ellipsis then launched Suresh Triveni as director in “Tumhari Sulu”, and more recently, Soumik Sen for his second feature, “Cheat India”, which is currently under production.

A statement from the producers read, “Tahira has worn several hats…. from being the programming head of a radio station in the North to a theatre writer-director, author, teacher of mass communication and journalism, and short film-maker. Her incredible stories are rooted in realism and heart. We are delighted to back her debut journey and look forward to making many more movies with her.”

Said Tahira, “I am delighted to be working with such incredible partners to bring a take on urban existence to the big screen. It feels surreal that something I had dreamt of for the longest, is finally happening. I’ve been writing screenplays for five years. It wasn’t an easy ride for me. I’m glad that Ellipsis believed in me, and together with T-Series, has given me a platform to breathe life into my script. I am truly excited about this new phase in my life and career.”

The untitled film, a warm slice-of-life drama set in Mumbai, will go into production early next year. Casting is in progress and will be announced shortly.

Cheat India to give a reality check on the education system, but with an entertaining vibe!

Ever since ‘Cheat India’ was announced, there has been much curiosity about the film. Also because Emraan Hashmi, who is also debuting as a producer (with T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment), has not been seen in a film which is as stark and real as ‘Cheat India’ and in a raw, Indian heartland milieu.

Says Emraan, “A decade ago, films like Cheat India would have been dismissed by the industry as being ahead of their time, but today with the changing language of cinema and the changing audience, I can experiment.”

He adds, “We read so much daily about the scams that plague our education system: SSC and HSC paper leaks, CBSE re-examination, Vyaapam, etc. The whole concept of buying your way through education, jobs and earnings is disturbing. It is important for people to understand the vulnerability of hardworking and gifted students who get left out. Though our education system has evolved over the decades, the malpractices exist. The fact that we judge students on the basis of their report cards has resulted in the thievery of our education system.”

Emraan ensured that he made sure his son, Ayaan, opt for a different curriculum where there is no encouragement to learn-by-rote (mugging) but a focus on the development of social skills, discipline and responsibility.

Bhushan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Emraan Hashmi are producing the drama, based on real incidents, which is set for a 25 January, 2019 release. Soumik Sen is directing the film, which is under production in U.P.

The current heartthrob of the nation, Kartik Aaryan is currently busy shooting for Dinesh Vijan’s Luka Chuppi in his hometown, Gwalior. The actor is having a great time shooting there, enjoying the perks of being around his family and having home-cooked meals on the set. And as he was in his hometown, he visited his school as a special guest to hoist the flag this Independence Day.

Kartik Aaryan has studied in St. Pauls High School and when the staff came to know about his arrival in the city, they were more than happy to invite him for this special day. Despite Kartik being busy with the shooting for the film, he instantly said yes when he was invited for it. The actor has studied till Grade X in St. Pauls and was obviously delighted to go back to school. With so many memories attached he was quite excited for the flag hoisting ceremony and meet the students and his some old teachers in the school. “Teachers and faculty of school were really happy to meet the ever-smiling and the most humble actor. Children went mad seeing the actor, They were proud of him and his achievements in the film industry. More than 3000 kids were present for the flag-hoisting ceremony and plus few kids performed to his songs to welcome their loved ex-student,” says a source.

When asked Kartik, he was beaming with joy sharing his experience of going back to school, “I was excited to go back to my school. I was feeling honoured to do the flag hosting in my school. It was one of the proud moments for me. I met my teachers and it was quite nostalgic for me to relive my school days.”

It’s said Kartik will play a role of an local news reporter in the film, and the movie filled with entertainment. Paired opposite Kriti Sanon for the first time, fans are quite excited to see this fresh pairing on the big screen. Their first picture together created a storm on the internet and went viral. हलाल, ३१ ऑक्टोबर, संघर्षयात्रा  या चित्रपटांतील अभिनयाचं कौतुक झाल्यानंतर प्रीतम कागणे "अहिल्या" या चित्रपटात दिसणार आहे. या चित्रपटात ती एका डॅशिंग पोलिसाच्या भूमिकेत प्रेक्षकांसमोर येणार आहे. खास या भूमिकेसाठी प्रीतमनं बुलेट चालवण्यापासून दोन महिन्यांचं खडतर पोलिस प्रशिक्षणही घेतलं आहे .

सुधीर चारी निर्मित या चित्रपटाचं लेखन आणि दिग्दर्शन राजू पार्सेकर यांनी केलं आहे. नितीन तेंडुलकर यांच्या गीतांना प्रवीण कुंवर यांनी संगीतबद्ध केलं आहे. चित्रपटात प्रीतमसह  प्रिया बेर्डे, रोहित सावंत, अमोल कागणे, प्रमोद पवार, नूतन जयंत, निशा परूळेकर  अशी उत्तम स्टारकास्ट आहे. प्रचंड कष्ट करून आयपीएस झालेल्या एका महत्त्वाकांक्षी महिला पोलिस अधिकाऱ्याची रंजक कथा अहिल्या चित्रपटात मांडण्यात आली आहे.

प्रीतमनं या चित्रपटातील भूमिकेसाठी विशेष मेहनत घेतली आहे. त्या विषयी प्रीतम म्हणते, 'पोलिस अधिकाऱ्याची भूमिका या पूर्वी कधी केलेली नाही. अहिल्या चित्रपटानं ती संधी दिली. पोलिसांच्या जगण्याचे विविध कंगोरे या भूमिकेला आहेत. या भूमिकेसाठी फिजिकल फिटनेस वाढवणं आवश्यक होतं. त्यामुळे सायकलिंग, स्वीमिंग, कराटे खेळायला शिकले. दोन महिन्यामचं खडतर पोलिस प्रशिक्षणही घेतलं. आव्हान होतं, बुलेट शिकणं... बुलेट शिकताना चार-पाच वेळा धडपडलेही... मात्र, हार न मानता बुलेट चालवायला शिकले. त्यामुळे या भूमिकेला जीवंत करता आलं. या चित्रपटासाठी मीही खूप उत्सुक आहे.'

"अहिल्या" चित्रपटाबरोबरच प्रीतमचा "मान्सून फुटबॉल" मराठी हिंदी चित्रपट आणि आणखी तीन चित्रपटही लवकरच येणार आहेत.

Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga - Made in India is an entertaining, heart-warming story that celebrates the spirit of independence by being self-reliant. The film’s plot is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy and takes a leaf out of the hugely acclaimed Make In India campaign. While Varun plays the role of a tailor, Anushka plays an embroiderer in the film. Homegrown craftsmen and small scale entrepreneurs who are chasing a dream for better life, wanting to take pride in their creations; the film highlighted the power of being independent by releasing a poster that champions this spirit.

Varun released the poster thanking audiences for the reaction to the trailer. He says, “Thank you so much for the love and amazing response to our trailer. Here’s our colourful poster that celebrates the spirit of self-reliance.”
