Dia Mirza felicitated with Valerian of Environmental Issues Award

Dia Mirza was recently awarded with the Valerian of Environmental Issues Award by the makers of the film ‘Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets’. It is a known fact that Dia supports various institutions that spread awareness and take necessary action to help resolve persistent environmental issues. The actress is associated with Narmada Bachao Andolan and Swachh Saathi, Dia is also the brand ambassador for Wildlife Trust of India.

The actress who will next be seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic has been actively involved in a plethora of social causes and has been spotted attending many such events and is doing her bit to save the environment. “I think as citizens of this planet, it is incumbent upon us to become more socially and environmentally aware and I’m just grateful that I have been acknowledged for doing my bit. I hope to continue to do more”, said the beautiful actress. 

Amy Jackson to shoot dance tracks with mega star Rajinikanth

Though Amy Jackson has completed shooting for Shankar’s 2.0, she is eagerly awaiting to shoot a dance number from the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer. 

Touted as one of the biggest tracks ever, the song featuring Amy and megastar Rajinikanth is set to break the record of the Aamir Khan-Katrina Kaif song Malang (Dhoom 3) which took 10 days to finish. 

Talking about the big song and dance sequence to be shot over a period of 12 days, Amy informs, “We have completed the shoot for 2.0. Only a song is left. Rajini and I are going to shoot for a 12-day song schedule next month. We are not travelling for the song, it will be indoors. There will be a huge set erected for the same, much like Shankar’s style.”

“AR Rahman is composing the song which will have a lot of dancing and romance. It has a bit of both, but it’s going to be a dance track,” Amy adds.

Amy will be rehearsing for around 10 days for the song. “Apart from the 12-day song shoot, I have been told to block at least 10 days for rehearsals. Shankar works like that, so for the song you have to block the whole month. But then, the results are always fabulous. From past experiences on I (Shankar’s film), the song Ennodu Nee Irundhal, took us 14 days to film. Bosco choreographed it and I think he’s doing it again for 2.0,” says Amy.

Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh start shooting for Vasu Bhagnani's next

Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh start shooting Vashu Bhagnani's next. Both the actors are currently in New York shooting for the film. This is India's first stage reality. 

Apart from this, it is also for the first time Wizcraft is venturing into production. And for the first time that Sonakshi is a part of such a comedy film.

Trailer & music launch of an upcoming film Ho Gaya Hai Mera Dil Patanga

Director Sachin Chauhan along with the cast and crew Anupam Chauhan and Vaani S Sharma of his debut film, Ho Gaya Hai Mera Dil Patanga recently.

Ho Gaya Hai Mera Dil Patanga is about a desi boy who hails from a village in Uttar Pradesh. He is an artist by profession but considers himself as a hero. He believes in owning everything he sees and likes. Incidentally, he falls in love with a girl who comes from a rich family. How he succeeds to win her ladylove forms the crux of the story. 

Also present at the launch was singer Shahid Mallya who will be seen making his acting debut in the film anthem, touted as the party anthem. The makers received positive and favorable response from the masses gathered to witness the launch. 

Sachin's debut directorial venture features actors including Anupam Chauhan and Vaani S Sharma (Star Plus's Ek Aastha Aisee Bhi fame). Prasad Acharya who is the villain of the film was also present at the launch. 

Shreyas Talpade has no time for hospital runs

Bollywood Actor and Director  Shreyas Talpade who currently have two movies in his pocket is struggling between  his career and Family life.  Shreyas wife Deepti Talpade is suffering from Swine flue but due to his commitments he has to visit set and be on calls for his movies Posters Boys.

The actor was recently in buzz that he is handling his Directorial debut Poster Boys on phone while shooting for his upcoming stint Golmaal Again. On Monday night when he returned from late night shoot he got to know that his wife deepti is suffering from heavy fever. Next morning due to commitment he admitted Deepti and went for a shoot of 'Golmaal Again'.

'It is a difficult time. Deepti has been hospitalised cause of H1N1 & as much as I want to be with her, I have to rush from one studio to the other to meet the deadline on completion of POSTER BOYS trailer, GOLMAAL AGAIN shoot & then be with her at the hospital in the interim breaks" Said Shreyas. 

Posters Boys features Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol & Shreyas Talpade himself in lead roles. The film is an official remake of the 2014 Marathi hit Poshter Boyz which Shreyas had produced and acted in. It is inspired by a real life incident about three coolies who found their pictures on a vasectomy poster. Produced by Affluence Movie Pvt. Ltd., Poster Boys is scheduled to be released on 8 September 2017.

Ajay Devgn to do a cameo in a Marathi film

The superstar Ajay Devgn who is now expanding his production house, Ajay Devgn Ffilm Productions, in association with Watergate Production will be producing a number of Hindi and regional films.

Ajay Devgn Ffilm Productions which has always been associated with giving the audience quality films, will be continuing the legacy of meaningful cinema. 

With the intent of meaningful cinema, the production house has already put untitled Marathi film on floor, which stars Nana Patekar in lead and directed by Satish Rajwade will have Ajay Devgn doing a cameo.

The film is touted to be a family drama and it also stars Sumeet Raghavan and Iravati Harshe.

The movie will be produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilm Productions and Abhinav Shuklaa & Manish Mishra of Watergate Production and co-produced by Nana Patekar under Gajanan Chitra. The movie is already on floors and Kajol gave the ‘mahurat clap’ for the same. 

Akshay Kumar Rides in a Train to London

In Bollywood Akshay Kumar is known to make it before the appointed time for meetings and events. Sooraj Pancholi opts out of Hafiz

If sources are to be believed, Sooraj Pancholi has recently opted out of Faruk Kabir’s next directorial venture titled Hafiz.

The handsome hunk was quite excited to start shooting for the romantic-action film and had even undergone mental and physical preparation for his role, but he had to back out citing date issues, as sources suggest.  

A source informs, “Sooraj has already shot for the first schedule of Hafiz in Mumbai and he was supposed to fly to Morocco for the movie in July. He had already given 78 days to shoot the film but the production house faced certain permission issues related to shooting in Morocco that pushed the project further by couple of months.”

“Sooraj was asked if he could allot fresh dates for Hafiz but it wasn’t possible for him since he has already committed those to Prabhu Dheva's next, which also requires about 60-70 days in one go, so he couldn't accommodate Hafiz. Also, Prabhu Dheva's action flick needs Sooraj to maintain his body as it is, Hafiz required him to knock off 10 kilos. Post that, the actor is also expected to take off an international tour Dabangg with Salman Khan,” the source adds.

Shah Rukh Khan launched Butterfly, song from Jab Harry met Sejal in Punjab

After launching 'Radha' amidst 7000 Sejals in Ahmedabad and club hopping to launch 'Beech Beech Mein', the makers of 'Jab Harry met Sejal' have now launched their third song 'Butterfly' in sync with its Punjabi vibe. 

'Butterfly' is set against the backdrop of Punjab featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in a traditional Punjabi avatar dancing their heart out in a field.

The song showcases both the actors, in contrast, looks in comparison to their avatars in the mini trails and the songs 'Radha' and  'Beech Beech Mein' from the film. 

The peppy song has both Shah Rukh and Anushka exuding electrifying energy as they dance to the Punjabi beats of Pritam.

'Butterfly' further expresses the freedom of both Harry and Sejal who are seen soaking in the Punjabi vibe as they are seen riding on a tractor, dancing atop a shed and celebrate life.

Shah Rukh Khan took to twitter sharing, "Jab Harry & Sejal Punjab waapis aa Gaye. Wot u seek u find in ur own desh ki dharti & mitti".

The song is composed by Pritam and is sung by Aman Trikha, Nooran Sisters, Dev Negi and Sunidhi Chauhan.

Both Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali are closely etched with Punjab as far as their body of work is concerned.

The actor has played a Punjabi guy in the films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Veer Zara to name a few, while filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's Jab we met and Love Aaj Kal connected the audience to Punjab.

In 'Jab Harry met Sejal' Shah Rukh Khan essays the role of a rooted Punjabi guy who travels to Canada for work. 

The earlier released songs 'Radha', 'Beech Beech Mein' and 'Safar' have been topping the playlist ever since its release.

Ajay Devgn Walks Between A Live Polo Match For The Song Mere Rashke Qamar

Milan's films always have sequences involving horses, like the iconic horse race in Once upon a time in Mumbaai. The director is a passionate horse lover, rider and racing enthusiast.

 For his upcoming film Baadshaho, Milan came up with a unique sequence, which he executed himself. Shooting in the land of polo, Rajasthan, Milan and writer Rajat Aroraa designed a sequence that sees Ajay Devgn, throw caution to the winds when he accepts a dare and walk across a polo field with a polo game in full flow during the song Mere Rashke Qamar which features Ileana D'Cruz and him.

Polo is the second fastest game in the world, after ice hockey. And more difficult to shoot in because animals come into play and hence two professional polo teams were hired and the sequence was shot at Jodhpur polo ground. Milan himself mounted one of the horses while showing the players the dangerous moves they had to execute at full gallop around Ajay who would be walking through. After several rehearsals which Ajay watched, the sequence was canned in one take without any accidents.  

The only close shave was when one of the horses stopped abruptly when he sensed the steadicam right next to him, but Ajay, an avid rider himself, had the presence of mind to just take a half step and let the horse pass without cutting the shot.

Sajid Nadiadwala relaunches Prateik Babbar in Baaghi 2.

Sajid Nadiadwala who is all set to gear up for his action franchise Baaghi 2 has reportedly found his negative lead for the movie.

Baaghi 2 featuring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in lead will have Prateik Babbar playing the antagonist. 

Prateik will be relaunched by producer Sajid Nadiadwala in the Ahmed Khan directed Baaghi sequel.

The actor is supposedly extremely happy and excited as it is an important role and suits Prateik's persona. Prateik will be seen in a never seen before avatar in the film.

The actor will start prepping for his role closer to the first schedule in August. In the past, Sajid has launched many young faces, including Tiger and Kriti Sanon in Sabbir Khan's Heropanti.

Now, he will be launching Disha as the lead in Baaghi 2 and reportedly Suniel Shetty's son Ahan.

Shraddha Kapoor will be next seen in Apoorva Lakhia’s film ‘Haseena Parkar’, which is based on the life of dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena and the makers of the film unveiled the latest poster of the film, which highlights Haseena’s role as a wife and a mother.

While in the previous posters, Shraddha as the older Haseena is seen staring grimly at the camera, in this poster, she is seen as the younger Haseena smiling as she poses with her husband Ibrahim Parkar and their four children for a family photograph. Unlike in the other posters, here Shraddha looks quite the demure Muslim wife posing with her family for the kind of portraits, which were quite popular in the retro era, with exaggerated backgrounds used to highlight the people in the photographs.

In the film, Ankur Bhatia plays Haseena’s husband Ibrahim, who gets gunned down by assassins from the rival Arun Gawli gang, which prompts Haseena to step up and take charge of matters in the mean alleys of South Mumbai.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, ‘Haseena Parkar’, which also stars Shraddha’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor as Dawood Ibrahim, is being presented by Swiss Entertainment and has been produced by Nahid Khan. ‘Haseena Parkar’ is slated to release on August 18.

On the occasion, Priyanka Chopra specially flew down to Mumbai to join her mother and KRR’s co-producer Dr Madhu Chopra for the press conference celebrating the success of Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP).   

While PPP forayed into regional cinema last year with three different language films including Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi (Bhojpuri), Ventilator (Marathi) and Sarvann (Punjabi) which were critically acclaimed and successful at the box office, the global superstar and Dr Madhu Chopra were truly excited to be part of their first official press conference celebrating the success of PPP. The production house has an interesting line up of films releasing soon including Pahuna in Sikkimese and Kashi Amarnath in Bhojpuri.

Talking about her second Marathi production and PPP, Priyanka said, “It was tough for me to find a foothold in the industry in spite of winning the Miss World title. As a production company, we want to give opportunities to new talent. Kaay Re Rascalaa is an amazing example of that. Being a debutant director, I Giridharan Swamy has done a fabulous job with Kaay Re Rascalaa and I’m extremely happy with the movie.”

Dr Madhu Chopra said, “When we set up PPP, our mandate was to provide an approachable place for different kinds of talent. Priyanka firmly believes in promoting and encouraging new talent because when she came to Mumbai, she found it very difficult to find her feet initially. I’m glad to be associated with family entertainers like Kaay Re Rascalaa.”

AR Rahman, Gurinder Chadha and Huma Qureshi launch the music of Partition: 1947

The Grand Music Launch of Partition:1947' saw many legendary people sharing the stage together. Along with AR Rahman and Gurinder Chadha also present were notable singers Hariharan, Hans Raj Hans and actress Huma Qureshi.

The dark times that her family had been through left director Gurinder Chadha in tears. And the music is always at it's best when it's been given the Rahman touch. The soul stirring music of the film was a treat to everyone's ears.

Gurinder Chadha with her films has always taken India to a global platform, and so has A R Rahman’s music. Hence, this association is expected to do wonders for Indian cinema.

The movie is all set to release in India on 18th August, 2017

Karan Johar inspired by Mughal-e-Azam- The Musical

Mughal-e-Azam The Musical play's popularity is increasing with each show. On the last day of season 4, the who's who of Bollywood was there to watch the everlasting love story of Mughal Prince Salim and Anarkali replete with live singing, stunning dance performances, lavish sets, top-notch production design and gorgeously elegant Manish Malhotra costumes. The last show of the Broadway-styled musical was staged at the NCPA in Mumbai and saw everyone from Bollywood director Karan Johar to Rekha to Hema Malini and directors Ashutosh Gowariker and Gurinder Chadha present at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre to watch the play.

Karan Johar who witnessed the magnificent play was left spellbound after watching the thrilling performances by the cast of Mughal- e-Azam. An excited Karan immediately shared his experience on social media and tweeted -  “Mughal-e-Azam the musical play was a spectacular throwback to the legendary film; the team and director Feroz Khan have excelled themselves."

Not only the performances, Karan was also mesmerized by Manish Malhotra's costumes which he has designed for the show, "Proud of Manish Malhotra your work in Mughal-e-Azam the play is truly beautiful and visually spectacular...more power to you, says Johar."

Veteran actresses Rekha and Hema Malini who were present for the musical play were too enthralled by the performances.

Presented by Shapoorji Pallonji and NCPA and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan, ‘Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical’ was staged at the NCPA, Mumbai. After four super successful seasons in Mumbai, ‘Mughal-E-Azam: The Musical’ is all set to travel to the capital of the country. The iconic play which is being hailed as India's biggest theater production is gearing up to wow Delhiwalas in the month of September. The venue for this iconic play will be the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium

Nikkhil Advani to team up with Vir Das for Hasmukh

Nikkhil Advani who is busy with his next production Lucknow Central and Baazaar, both the films being slated to release later this year has now teamed up with actor-comedian Vir Das for a yet-untitled show. It will be a 10-part dark comedy series titled Hasmukh, written by Vir and Nikkhil and also marks Vir’s debut as a co-producer.

Commenting on the same, Vir said “I had developed a concept which had an element of satire and thrill and worked around a unique script expecting to collaborate with someone who would understand and enjoy my content. I thought about Nikkhil first and he was immediately excited and agreed to co-produce the show”.

The duo plan to begin working on the project in August and shooting will commence from September. “We will be filming entirely in Mumbai and are currently in the process of registering the title” added Vir.

2017 has indeed been a special year for Emmay Entertainment as they completed 6 years in the industry. They also launched their first web series The Mini Truck which has been garnering positive response over the internet. Also to add to their busy schedule, they have two great movies lined up later this year.

When Tanvi Azmi replaced Kriti Kharbanda in Guest Iin London

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Kharbanda starrer ‘Frankly Tu Sona Nachdi’ song from the movie Guest Iin London has been one of the favourite songs playing almost everywhere. The song is sung by Raghav Sachar and Tarannum Malik and has upbeat music which is composed by Raghav Sachar.

The dance number has Kriti and Kartik shake a leg together. Tanvi loved the song and couldn’t resist tapping her feet while she saw Kartik and Kriti dancing to the song beats. The actress was part of Kriti's rehearsal and would dance along with her during practice. 

By the time the song was ready to be shot she knew all the steps of Kriti. The trio then changes position during break, Kriti became the director and shot a video of Kartik and Tanvi dancing on the song together. The entire set was surprised by the energy and perfection with which Tanvi Azmi danced on the song. 

When Dino Morea met Johnny Depp

When Dino Morea went to London for a holiday, he had not envisaged that he would be meeting Johnny Depp and having a fun time. Says Dino, “Johnny Depp, his career, his style, his acting, all of it have me absolutely star-stuck. Whether be it television 21 Jump Street or his films, I simply love him.” Dino feels that Johnny Depp infuses something different into every single character he essays and admits he loves most of them. “Fear and Loathing, Blow, Donnie Brasco, Pirtaes of The Caribbean, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory… there is something new in every character, whether it is the look, the nuances, the speech – he never ceases to amaze me. The experience has left an indelible mark in Dino’s heart, “Those couple of hours are something that I would always cherish.” We spoke about so many different fun life experiences, movies, characters… I could go on and on… Honestly, he is a mega star, but so chilled and down-to-earth.”

As a kid, certain things become etched in our memory. Spider- Man is one of them. I remember being overawed by this socially awkward, amazingly agile and very human super-hero character, who no one gave a second look as Peter Parker. A young boy raring to go, willing to push the limits and not give up come what may, Spider-Man was not just aspirational but very real. That’s why I have grown up loving him and dream of playing the role as part of my cinematic journey. My dream came half-true when I got a chance to dub for Spider-Man in Hindi for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

This Friday, when the film releases, I hope you see what I saw in this family entertainer,  apart from its jaw-dropping action sequences, humour and drama, the story of a high-schooler itching to wear the big boots to take on massively formidable villains, as he risks it all. A hero excitedly waiting for his turn to join the big boys club of superheroes and willing to go to any length to prove himself. The movie reminded me of my own journey as well, as I am pushing boundaries, taking up new and bigger challenges that will help me hone my craft and enable me to get ready for the exciting journey that lies ahead. After all, there is a little Spidey in all of us!

Suraj Kumar to make acting debut in Gujarati film

Every year Gujarati cinema produces some new talents to the film industry, some make a successful debut and some tastes success after some struggles. There are few actors who made a successful debut in the industry. Not only did they got appreciation for their work but also got good numbers at the box office. One of the most loved person coming out from Gujarat, Suraj Kumar is all set to debut as an actor with upcoming Gujarati film ‘Hu Tara Ishq Ma’. The film was announced in Ahmedabad. ‘Hu Tara Ishq Ma’ is a romantic love story and musical film and will be directed by Raj Boricha and produced by Blue Diamond Production House Suraj is playing lead role in the movie.

While speaking about her debut in Gujarati cinema, Suraj Kumar said, "It is my first Gujarati film and I am really proud of it as it's my mother tongue too, technically I have a different kind of attachment to it. I’m really excited about this and looking forward to start the shooting of film”.

Charming looking Suraj Kumar is living in Gujrat. He has completed engineering degree from Pune. Dashing actor Suraj is having hobbies of dancing, acting, mimicry and gymnasium.

Jagga Jasoos's Phir wahi.. showcases the father-son bond between Jagga and his father

The fourth song from Jagga Jasoos, Phir Wahi is out. The song explores the loving relationship of young Jagga and his father.

The heart-wrenching song is sure to fill your hearts with emotions. Voiced by Arjit Singh, the song beautifully captures the emotions that the father-son duo share.
