Manoj Bajpayee gifts Reflective Jackets to the Mumbai' sTraffic Police

Manoj Bajpayee is not just a critically acclaimed actor but also a man with a golden heart. The actor, who in his upcoming film will be seen portraying the role of a traffic constable has also won the hearts of his traffic police brethren. Manoj will be giving neon coloured florescent jackets a.k.a. reflective jackets to traffic constables.

Speaking about this gesture, Manoj said, “Traffic constables lead really difficult lives and have a very hectic schedule. During Ganpati or any festivals, they don’t come home for 5 to 7 days straight and do not get to see their families. Paying respect to all the constables, this is a small gift from my end. I hope that these jackets help ensure safety of the man who is out there in the middle of the road controlling the Traffic, so you can reach home on time.”

Moved with this generosity, lady constable Rashmi Uttekar, came up on the stage as she was so emotional about how the industry is coming forward to help the traffic police. Manoj feels emotionally connected to the life of a traffic police after showcasing the hard life of a constable in the film, especially when the Green Corridor is on.

The film is based on a real life incident that occurred in Chennai. This incident caught the attention of the Green Corridor initiative, which is introduced by the traffic police across the nation, where in times of medical emergencies ambulances are used for Organ Transportation.

With stupendous performances by an ensemble cast including Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Sheirgill, ‎Divya Dutta, Prosenjit Chatterjee, ‎Kitu Gidwani, Sachin Khedekar, Parambrata Chatterjee and Amol Parashar, 'Traffic' – an Endemol Shine India production presented by Fox Star India is slated to release on 6^th May, 2016.

Hrithik's lawyers says, Let the investigation speak for itself

In response to Rizwan's new statement.

Hrithik's lawyers : "we welcome the move. It has taken so long for them to take this basic first step. Recording of statement is the first step in any investigative process. A lot of delay and drama has happened before this first step. It's not for them to say if police is happy with them or not, let that come from the investigative agencies. Let's not try and confuse the matter further with various statements. Let the investigation speak for itself. "

Latest statement of the day from Kangana's lawyer

Rizwan Siddiquee states that "My client Ms. Kangana Ranaut shall never succumb to any pressure. Some common people who had intervened had a fixed agenda of only scaring my client and hiding the truth, which could not happen. The world including people from the film industry need to learn that in today's changing time no woman is scared of anything if she is fiercely determined, and has the truth by her side.

My client knows and is fully convinced that there is no imposter as had there really been one, than Hrithik himself would have immediately acted on my client's sister complaint which he received on his correct email id on the 25th of May 2014. His own acts of commissions and omissions after receipt of the said emails from my client's sister, coupled with his blatant lies from time to time, speak volumes of his conduct.

To have an edge over my client he has tried everything within his means including slut-shaming, changing his public relations team, obtaining private cyber report which was paid for by him and also by changing his lawyer. However nothing is going to help as Mr. Hrithik Roshan cannot change the facts of the matter.

A lot of things will soon unfold in due course of time. 

Today afternoon's statement from Kangana's lawyer

Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee representing both Ms. Kangana Ranaut and her sister Ms. Rangoli Ranaut Chandel states that "There has been a lot of speculation in the media concerning my client's laptop. Some section of media who still have a copy of the "common format" of the first Summon dated 25th March 2016 that was issued by Cyber crime, are confused because there was a mention of laptop, computer, cell phone etc. in that Summon.

I would therefore like to make it clear to everyone that the formats normally used by Police Officers are common formats and only the name and address of the person to whom that letter/summons is addressed to, is changed in every format. The mention of any specific gadget in such summons is irrelevant if the same does not apply to you, as it was in our matter.

My clients after receipt of FIR from the Court have been ready and waiting to fully co-operate with the cyber cell and fully assist them besides recording their statements, which happened yesterday to the full satisfaction of police officers.

Hope that the confusion is cleared once and for all and that no further news on my client's inconsequential laptop is carried any further by any section of media" 

Kangna Ranaut records statement with police

Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee states that "The police were called to visit the residence of my client to record her statement at 4 pm today. However because of traffic issues the team dropped by at 4:45 p.m.

My client was scheduled to go for another meeting by 5 p.m., however to accommodate the officer and her team she rescheduled her other meetings and recorded her statements along with her sister.

The police were extremely happy to get more information from my clients and learn new things which were not mentioned by the Complainant in his FIR. Going forward a lot of things will unfold and even the aim and object why Hrithik was circulating a private report to the media would become clear. Also why did he not name my client in his earlier complaint and lied initially would also become clear. Even the reasons for delay in lodging the FIR by Hrithik has become more clear now."

Sarfarosh complites seventeen years

On April 30, 1999, John Mathew Mathan’s patriotic action drama, Sarfarosh released which witnessed the perfectionist Aamir Khan and the gorgeous and talented actress Sonali Bendre Behl sharing the screen space for the first time. The movie also marked the directorial first for John.

The charm and innocence: The trademark dialogue Sonali kept repeating in the film “Don’t Mind” was not only charming but also added a sense of comedy to the otherwise intense storyline. Sonali was like the breath of fresh air amidst the high voltage drama that went on in this patriotic action thriller.

Carefree attitude: The nonchalant and carefree attitude with which Sonali keeps dropping her scarf and the smitten Aamir keeps picking it up brings a smile to all our faces. If you have seen the movie than you know what we are talking about. The scarf moment is a depiction of true innocence and young romance and nobody but Sonali could have pulled this off better.

Sonali’s acting prowess: Sonali was brilliant in portraying the role of Seema the supportive other half to Aamir. Starring opposite two acting stalwarts Aamir and Naseeruddin Shah, Sonali not only gave a noteworthy performance but also matched up to her co-actors. Her performance left a lasting effect on the minds of the viewer and made them fall in love with her grace and beauty.

Babuji Ek Ticket Bambai's trailer launched

The trailer of the upcoming Bollywood film “Babuji Ek ticket Bambai” produced by Hari Kripa Films was released amongst much fanfare by Shri Sudhir Mungantiwar (State Cabinet Minister of Finance, Planning, and Forest Departments in the Government of Maharashtra, India) along with the cast and crew of the film.

Speaking on the occasion Sudhir ji said; “I congratulate the makers for bringing out the issues that are very much related to the current state of affairs in our society.” Piyush Mundhada, the Creative Head of the film thanked the Hon. Minister for gracing the occasion and supporting the film. He said, “Babuji Ek Ticket Bambai is an honest attempt at film-making and showing the ground realities very closely. I am sure that the audiences will be able to relate to and appreciate this project.”

The film ‘Babuji Ek Ticket Bambai’ is an attempt to draw the focus on how a dying sacred culture deprived of support from the various sections can metamorphize into current corrupt form. “RAI” indigenous to the natives of Bedhaiya community found the Bundelkhand regions of M.P. and U.P. Their culture is all about singing and dancing to celebrate divinity. Here the females used to sing and dance while the male counterparts used to accompany them to the mela’s or grounds and would play musical instruments besides protecting them.  Nowadays this culture is looked down upon, and has lost its sheen because of association of flesh trade with this community.

Rajpal Yadav quoted, “The entire film is shot in actual locations in Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai from where the story originates. There has been a lot of research that has gone into the making of this film. We the so called forward thinking citizens of metropolitan cities would find it very tough to believe what kind of atrocities do women in interiors of the country go through.”  Among the other cast who graced the occasion with enthusiasm were – Bharati Sharma, Mushtaq Khan, Yashpal Sharma, Rakesh Bedi, Heena Panchal, Manisha Marzara, Prem Dubey and Swati Agrawal. Sudha Chandran who plays an important character in the film extended her good wishes and congratulated the team for the successful trailer launch, as she could not make it to the event due to her busy schedule. K.K. Mundhada, the Producer of the film told, “The film is different from the other yesteryear films on prostitution as it portrays the in depth study of the socio-politico-economic aspects of prostitution in the red light areas. The film reflects the dehumanising situation that the commercially sexually exploited women (CSEW) face every day in our country. These dreadful and heart wrenching realties and facts give a new impetus and lease of life to the on-going debate that – ‘Should prostitution be legalised?’” The film is all set to release worldwide on 10^th June 2016 and is distributed by 18^th Media Ventures. 

Abhishek Bachchan's football team awarded by Sports Illustrated India

Abhishek Bachchan who put games like Kabaddi and Football back on the Indian map in a big way , today received an award on behalf of his football team Chennaiyin FC at the Sports Illustrated India Awards.

Chennaiyin FC was honored with the title of  "Domestic Performance of the Year" at the Sports Illustrated India's SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR awards .

Co-owners Abhishek Bachchan and Vita Dani were present at the charity gala to receive the award, on behalf of their football team, that emerged champions at the Indian Super League 2015.

On the occasion said Abhishek Bachchan, " This is a very special award for both Vita Dani and myself.  We started the football journey few years back and we went to a city which really didn't have the football knowledge nor had a  football center still they welcomed us with open arms.

Dancing kind Govinda inaugurated Sandip Soparkar's 3rd India Dance Week

Bollywood's dancing king- Govinda was the esteemed chief guest who lit the auspicious inaugural lamp of "India Dance Week" on 29th April. He was also seen shaking a legs on his super hit song  "Aa Aa Eee Oo Ooo Mera Dil Na Todo" from the film Raja Babu. When he took to the stage and started to dance the crowed cheered and demanded to see his iconic moves, which he obliged to everyone's delight.
The Event kick started with the Ganesh Vandana performed by Uma Rele's Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyala student. Followed by mentally challenged people of NGO Advitya dancing along with  actress Vandana Sajnani and Smilie Suri who spoke about dance being for everyone be it normal, special or differently abled.

Apart from classical and folk dances by Nalanda the show also had Villoo Bharucha's School of Ballet performance Russian and French Style Ballet and Brian Fernandes dance Academy showcasing modern dances.

It was a visual treat to see Ryoko De's school of international folk dances present some rare dances of the Eastern World like; Nichibu from Japan, long sleeve dance from China and Cham dance from Tibet.

This festival is the only dance festival in the country that has Indian classical, Indian folk, international folk, ballet, bollywood, ballroom, Latin dances and many other dance forms performed by professionals from all over India.

"India Dance Week" does not believe in dividing the dancers as per the forms they practice, instead joins their hearts as dance lovers and provides them a platform to showcase their love for the art of dance. The 3rd India Dance Week is not only promoting dance, but also following their motto "Dance for a Cause"
